LENZING™ ECOVERO™
Wood-derived fibres
Our t-shirts are made of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose fibres derived from wood from sustainably managed forests that are certified by independent organizations like Canopy, FSC® or PEFC.
Carbon emissions and water consumption
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose emits up to 50% lower carbon emissions, and saves approximately 50% more water than generic viscose, and additionally, LENZING™ cleans up the water used in production and reuse it in their designated mills and factories.
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose have also been certified with a EU Ecolabel, a label given to products that meet high environmental standards throughout their lifecycle.
The fabric has also been embedded with a molecular marker, ensuring the authenticity and traceability of the fibres even after processing them into finished goods, and are biodegradable and compostable under specific conditions.

BCI ORGANIC COTTON
Our shorts are made of BCI-certified organic cotton. However, unlike our James T-shirts, we were unable to use the BCI cotton badge because Gentlemen Who Brunch Limited is not a certified user.
TRIMS
Our labels are made of recycled polyester, FSC-certified paper, and cotton twine. Zipper, and labels for The Barty Shorts are certified Oeko-Tex.
PACKAGING
PRIMARY PACKAGING
The bags were packed for transportation in polypropylene bags, our goal is to shift towards using water-soluble, compostable, landfill biodegradable bags in our next production run.
RETAIL PACKAGING
Our padded mailers are made of waxed kraft paper in an effort to reduce single-use plastic.
SOCIAL COMPLIANCE
All of our factories have been socially audited by an independent third party following the SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) methodology and standards and were found to have no critical or major breaches.
If you would like to learn more about what SMETA means, and what it evaluates, please click here.
SAFETY
Here at Gentlemen Who Brunch we take your safety seriously. Every single item, from apparel to packaging has been tested following strict quality protocols.
Eurofins, a third-party lab, conducted all testing in-house and follow not only Hong Kong’s own legal testing requirements, but also tested for certain chemicals following the European Regulation’s own protocols at our team’s request.
All tests were conducted in March 2025, and given a pass score.
